In my articles, I try to share experiences and lessons that I have learned in sales, management, and in life. One’s professional, as well as personal life, is a journey, one that lasts a lifetime. It can be a winding road with occasional bumps but it is full of anticipation and rewards. Every day is another step forward, another opportunity to:

g. challenge ourselves
h. be competitive
i. be aggressive
j. Visualize the next step and what is ahead.
The journey never ends because there is always something new on the horizon.
While we will never reach the horizon, we can come close. The journey is never boring or tiring because every day, there is something new; new people to meet, new issues to solve, new ways to serve, new ways to create happiness and joy, and new ways to have FUN. Just as no two snowflakes are the same, no two days are the same.
Throughout my career, I looked forward to going to work every day because I knew it would be different from yesterday. I went to sleep dreaming about the next day and woke up eager to get started. Taking a day off is important to recharge the batteries but it also meant a day away from doing what I enjoy most, serving our guests. My wife always complained that I could never take my mind off from work because outside of my family, nothing was more important than creating memories and creating smiles for our guests.
When seeing a smile on a guest's face no longer excites me, I will truly retire. Until then, let’s challenge ourselves to enjoy our work, enjoy serving our guests, and enjoy getting them back over and over again.
